The sand of Praia do Tofo gave birth in 1969 to what is known today as Hotel Tofo Mar, only 18km from Inhambane, in Mozambique.
“Tofo Mar”, later “Marinhos” and now Tofo Mar again, the Hotel has been for decades a reference destination in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Indic Ocean. Its history is forever imprinted by the conclusion, at the Hotel Tofo Mar, of the final text of Mozambique Popular Republic’s Constitution.

All our 13 bedrooms are located on 1st floor (accessible only by stairs). Each bedroom has a unique decor, with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning.
The Hotel also offers the best balcony of the Indic Coast, a Signature Restaurant, Bar, Massage terrace and a Conference Room Hall with independent access, technical facilities and capacity for up to 80 people.
The Hotel not only offers beach service, but also the services of one of the best and better equipped African diving centers, the Diversity Scuba. Nevertheless, the Activity Center also offers a wide range of activities like Pansy Island Trips, Fat Bikes, Massages, Quad Bike Trips, Deep Sea Fishing, etc.
Find Tofo Mar Hotel in Mozambique, 560km north of Maputo, only 15 minutes from Inhambane, at Tofo beach, a few steps from the sea. Take a direct flight from Johannesburg, Maputo or Inhambane and there are bus trips from Maputo and Inhambane too.

Child policies - UNDER 12 YEARS OLDA child can only share the room with 2 adults on Deluxe or Executive rooms, in an extra bed. The stay of a child in an extra bed has an additional cost of 30 USD per night. This is non-commissionable.
A child can share the room with 1 adult in any room of Hotel Tofo Mar. In this case, the child pays 75% of an adult rate. This is non-commissionable.
Any room occupied only by children will be charged at full price.
Toddlers 2 years old and under are free of charge.
No cots or high chairs are provided.
