A luxury safari tented lodge and adventure haven located in the coastline of Mozambique behind the sand dunes of the Indian Ocean. Built on the banks of Nhambavale Lake in Chidenguele overlooking the untouched dune forests nestled in indigenous African bush, Naara is a unique place, where guests feel at the same time the tranquility and the excitement of Africa.

The luxury safari tents at Naara Eco Lodge & Spa are air-conditioned and offer a seating area. Each unit features a furnished balcony overlooking the lake, and they all have mosquito nets. The private bathroom is equipped with a bath or shower.
The restaurant makes use of locally sourced ingredients, and guests can also enjoy a meal on their private balcony or on the pier at the lake.
A shuttle service from Chidenguele village to the lodge can be arranged for a fee.
A range of activities are offered in the area, such as snorkeling, fishing and canoeing.
Naara Eco-Lodge is situated 260 kilometers (4-hour drive away) from Maputo on the EN1 (national road), just 60km north of Xai-Xai. The closest village to the lodge is Chidenguele. A sandy road takes one to the edge of Nhambavale, an alluring 20km long fresh water lake that is surrounded by indigenous bush. The lodge is located further away from Chidenguele village making our guests feel they are deep into Africa.
Naara Eco-Lodge & Spa is an exclusive paradise with only 10 luxurious safari tents in Southern Mozambique which is surrounded by African indigenous bush overlooking the soothing waters of Nhambavale Lake.
Luxury safari tents are set up on permanent structures with large front doors allowing superb lake views. Each tent is strategically placed so that they all have magnificent views of the lake while ensuring privacy is attained.
Each tent has a large bedroom area and individual covered veranda. Verandas are suited with sofas, where guests can enjoy the views. The indoor en suite facility opens to a private secluded garden, where an outdoor shower is found.
Superior wooden Balinese furniture adds an elegant and rustic touch to each luxury tent.
Naara Eco-lodge and Spa has a full restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately we are unable to provide self-catering facilities for guests. Guests are therefore kindly requested not to bring any food items from outside.
Naara has a bar and lounge with a full liquor license open from 10 am to 10 pm. Guests are kindly requested not to bring any drinks for your stay at Naara. An exception is made for wines, which carry a USD 10 corkage charge per bottle.
Natura Wellness Centre gives the impression to be floating on the waters of the lake. While most treatments are done in our main platform area, a separated garden was built to ensure superior privacy for exclusive guests.

Booking Cancellation TermsPremature departure: in the event of premature departure, we may charge for the full original booking.
No-show: Guest forfeits 100% of accommodation value.
Cancellations:
Up to one week before arrival date: Guest forfeits 100% of accommodation value.
Between 8 and 15 days before arrival date: Guest forfeits 50% of full quote value.
More than 15 days before arrival date: Guest forfeits only 15% of full quote value.
On receipt of a written instruction to cancel the reservation, Naara Eco-lodge & Spa will refund the applicable amount as determined by the cancellation terms above within 5 working days. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional USD 40 charge will be levied.
