Opened in 2008, Baia Sonambula “Sleeping Beach”, is nestled unassumingly behind Tofo Beach and offers a stylish beach hideaway at a standard unparalleled in the rustic village. There is plenty of living space, and you can enjoy endless sea views from your private wooden deck. With the ocean a mere 30 meters from your rooms, you can look forward to easing into your day with the sound of lapping waves and luxurious surroundings.
Baia Sonâmbula is a recent addition to the Mozambique coast line and situated in Tofo Village and around 25km from Inhambane. This guesthouse is said to be the most luxurious accommodation in Tofo. The lodge is almost hidden away and is surrounded by huge trees that create a private and cool atmosphere.
Baia Sonâmbula has 3 en-suite sea view bungalows and 2 en-suite rooms and most of these rooms have a peaceful
beach and beautiful sea view. Each bungalow at Baia Sonâmbula is inspired by old luxurious French guest houses and has its own private wooden deck where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views over Tofo beach.
The guesthouse has a spacious common lounge with comfortable couches and soft scatter cushions. Here you can read magazines or interact with other visitors. You can also choose to lounge on relaxing deck-chairs found on the two main terraces that is part of the guest house.

Child PolicyMaximum 1 child allowed in sea view bungalows only, sharing with 2 adults paying. Under 2 years old: a baby cot is provided. FOC From 2 to 12 years old: an extra child bed is provided. The cost is 25 USD. In case of a child
(2/12years) sharing with 1 adult paying, the rate is at 75% of the adult.
Cancellation PolicyThe cancellation fees below apply:
• More than 90 days before arrival: first night charged.
• 90 to 60 days before arrival: 15 % of the invoice.
• 59 to 30 days before arrival : 30 % of the invoice
• 29 to 15 days before arrival: 50 % of the invoice.
• 14 to 8 days before arrival: 75 % of the invoice.
• Less than 8 days before arrival: 90% of the invoice
PAYMENT TERMS• A 30 % deposit is required within 7 days after reception of your invoice. Reservation will be confirmed only when deposit is received. Passed these 7 days, room(s) will be automatically released.
• The balance is due 30 days before arrival date.
• Reservations made within 30 days of arrival date are payable in full.
