Welcome to Vilanculos Canoe Trails we offer either morning or afternoon Canoe trips in to the Govuro Wetlands 30 km west inland and is not connected to the sea.

The river is full of African Water lilly’s, Water birds, Fire Fly’s and aquatic animals.It has crystal-clear water and abundant bird life, including the Black Crake, Purple Gallinule, African Darter, River Warblers, Pygmy Geese, Kingfishers, Jacanas, Cormorants, Eagles and Herons.  In the evening, it abounds with Fireflies. It’s a sustainable eco-tourism joint venture with a local fisherman aimed at protecting the waterways of the Govuro inland delta.

Cost depends on numbers with a minimum of two adults needed, including all transfers, drinks and snacks.
